Any chance you have the AFR graph and a tune file you'd be willing to share?
i dont have a graph of the afr but it was 18:1 on 19psi
i dont really want to share the file as i did have some help at my expense as i figured that would be the fastest way for me to get an understanding of this type of tuning as this was my first diesel and im far from pro
i am happy to help or guide through what needs to be changed but i cant post the file sorry

i will be putting it back on the rollers again soon but with a snorkel i will have a bit more of a play with it and i will get some print outs of the afr and boost

This is a bit on the rich side for AFR if your running 18. Not the worst but would be cooler in EGT's if higher. Might pay to bump up the boost 1-4 PSI just to see what the AFR does.

Last thing you want to do it start to overheat the EGT's on a big long mountain or towing slog.

I know the Bi-Turbos run 18 in the AFR, but this is a bit too rich also and prevents a bit of tuning.

My preference is in the Full Throttle AFR's to try and not go under 19-20.

Have had this tune in for a few months now been everywhere with it on the beach towing my camper and climbing mountains I have given it a hard time and it takes a while for the egt to get anywhere and not even close to the point of needing to worry

You needed help to get the tune going from a pro, then when someone from the automotive industry gives you sound advice to try and help the longevity of the vehicle there is nothing to worry about?

    Your call.........

whats your problem mate. i just made a statement and now your shitty. as i said my egt is good are you just assuming they are bad would you like me to increase the boost of my stock turbo to decrease the longevity of the turbo.
i thought this was a place to help people not get upset about other peoples opinions. i know i can make another 10kw and 20nm but i am happy and for that little gain isnt worth in my opinion the longevity of my engine or turbo.
now if you are so good why are you even on this page.

    Triggered much?

It?s about making your turbo and engine live longer by reducing the heat.

But as seeing as there is no problem, Johnny Walker......

Hey guys, Has anyone found what triggers the P061B? Started tuning my first ranger today and have this code come up on light cruise. Also how far are you having to increase the Torque to fuel quantity to see a difference? Cheers

Was this added to 11-16 6.7s? I tried adding these but didnt see any of these parameters on my 2016, using the latest beta.

Did you RE-POLL for Parameters? I did have an occasion where I needed to delete (rename) the vehicle profile file (..\HPTuners\VCM Scanner\Vehicles) to force a fresh read of available parameters to be visible.

Did the p061b code ever come for you after the tune?

Any clue on what helps keep that code away?

In the latest beta, I have added a few new channels for logging that will pinpoint which maps are in use.

    Attachment 99139

Parameter 14590 - Base Operating Mode will tell you which of the Map # is in use.

Parameter 14589 - Injection Config for EOM will tell you which Config # is in use.

Parameter 14588 - Engine Operating Mode (EOM) will tell you which Mode # is in use.

    Hope this helps.
I dont know if Eric will reply its like 3 years old this thread.....Maybe someone can answer my question.... In Erics first post with the picture he added, he is in the Diesel timing tab....Does this mean the 3 parameter is only going to show Witch timing Maps is getting used only ? also how would you find these Channels in the VCM scanner ? would you search for the parameter numbers like 14590 ? also is a parameter called a channel in VCM scanner ?

If you want support you need to log a ticket. It doesn't guarantee anything, though.
Have a full read of this thread, some of your questions are already answered and there is some good [general] guidance, and spend time poking around all the scanner functions to learn about it. There are a bunch of YT videos posted by people showing how to use it, too.
MAPs operate in sets [of tables], so if you can work out what table you're in, then use the equivalent table in the different areas.

Yeah i have given up on tickets just like other people in this thread have requested a ticket and nothing ever got done.....yeah i have read the thread 5x now and still am confused if the Parameter 14590,14589,14588 will only show witch map/mode/config for Ignition tables Only ? also how would you find Parameter 14590,14589,14588 in VCM scanner ?

VLF77 you said there is a bunch of YouTube videos on this ? any-chance you can shot me some links because all i can find on YouTube is how to use VCM scanner layout and how to log... but they dont explain how to find out witch Map the car is using in real time at the time of data logging thru VCM scanner?

I presume these are all addresses that can be logged on SID208 Ranger for PCM?

    Came from polling on Forscan.

Forward to this I flashed a different calibration with Forscan and got some more working on an older calibration, however it's still missing SOI or Timing, Attached log & Tune incase I'm missing something.
