Question for the group - I just purchased a 2020 Ram Rebel and will be installing larger wheels/tires. i understand I can change the gear/tire size via the scanner without downloading the tune. To do this, will I need to install a smart access cable, or will I be able to do this by just connecting the scanner via the OBDII port?

You will need the smart access but there was a member here that had an issue using the HP tuner version on his jeep. Start with this post and read on from there.

BTW I think you can accomplish the gear/tire size with alfaOBD. Lot of the RAM guys use it but you still need the smart access cable.

Dang it - was hoping I could just connect the scanner and make the update with the vehicle special features without connecting the access cable. Sound like even connecting the cable people are having problems.
