    42/50lb injector recommendations

I'm posting here because I want to ensure whatever I pick has known good injector data that will mate with the '98 LS1 PCM fuel tables. I estimate 42lb@3BAR would place me around 80% IDC, so I'd like them to be a little higher than 42's. They need to be direct replacement that will physically replace the current OEM LS3 injectors without any additional adapters. Thank you.

    Those will work.

Just run 58psi of fuel pressure and you are going to be just fine. 4 bar pressure turns them into 48-49lb/hr.

I run the 12613412 in mine. I run about a 60% dc at 58 PSI on a cam, TBSS, long tubes in my 6.0.

The FIC's are @$55, and it appears FIC offers the data although not accessible until after you buy the product.

The 12613412's I can get from RockAuto as ACDelco (2173412) @$22. I presume I can get the correctly massaged ACDelco injector data from this site. I'm not excited about buying used injectors off Ebay. I've read elsewhere that they are slightly longer than LS3's, but no fitment problems?

Why should I spend twice as much for the FIC's?

It all just depends on what you are after and what you want.

You can run stock injectors from another vehicle or buy aftermarket injectors from a vendor.

You gave no budget or anything so I offered those up.

No matter what you will have to use a conversion spread sheet to make those stock injectors work. That same thing would have already been done to make the LS3 injectors work in a LS1 format.

All of the injector options listed above don't need any adapters, right? So long as I'm using the OEM LS3 injectors now with the OEM LS3 fuel rail & OEM LS3 intake manifold, I won't need any additional height adapters, EV adapters, etc?

I went with the FIC's. I was nervous about quality of the products I might receive from Ebay and the resultant headaches.

When I told my shop I ordered FIC's in post #2 above, he opined I should have gone with an OEM injector for the best results. Feedback?

Those are a flow matched OE core... He shouldn't have any issues getting them to work. I have used several sets of injectors from FIC with no problems at all. Just email them for the data. I typically receive a reply from them with a data spreadsheet within 10 minutes or less if its during business hours.

    Comparing the FIC42LSSET 50@4BAR vs 12613412 50lb@4BAR data:

    Def & Min Inj Pulse: FIC=.805, OEM=.243
    Short Pulse limit: FIC=2.492ms, OEM=4ms
Short pulse adder: FIC is higher across the board than OEM

Doesn't the Min Inj Pulse mean the smallest amount it can pulse and still maintain a good fuel droplet? So wouldn't that mean the OEM 50lb injector can provide a smaller controllable droplet all the way down to a .243 pulse width, meaning it's less likely to cause rich idle and better fuel economy at idle and part throttle? Is it better to buy a new set of OEM 12613412's (which may have more variance between the injectors) or to keep these FIC's?

    The FIC's will be fine.

If you have to, you can cut the min fuel milligrams under the transient fuel tab if you are showing some rich idle fueling. I'd probably cut the tab by 30-50%.

In my calibration, Fuel > Transient > Transient Fuel Qualifications > Min. Fuel Milligrams is set to 0, the same as my stock calibration. Should I leave it at 0?

If that is stock, then leave it.

All the 411 computers I normally deal with have something like .032 to .041 in that data when stock.
