    Maf/ve gen 3 6.0

could someone help me out here please, Ive been trying to tune the maf and ve tables and after datalogging and making changes to tables I proceed to get the same information time after time, Obviously I don't have something setup correctly, Ive gone over all steps to shutting off the proper items such as maf frequency fail high and dtcs for the VE tuning process, got my p102 & 103codes along with some others. shut of o2 sensors, ltft and stft,. I have all my histograms setup properly ( I know this because ive successfully tuned with them before), im new to this but I have done my homework a little, Im going nuts over this if anyone could share any information with me it would be greatly appreciated

For Gen3 VE tuning this is my setup, hope it helps.

    VE TUNING SETTINGS:

    Engine>Airflow>Dynamic>High RPM Disable – (8,000rpm)

    Engine>Fuel>Oxygen Sensors>Close Loop Enable>ECT vs. IAT – (284 deg Entire Table)
    Engine>Fuel>Oxygen Sensors> Long Term Fuel Trims> Min ECT – (283 deg F)

    Engine>Fuel>Open Loop/Base>Open Loop> EQ ratio – (140 deg up to 284 deg all KPa 1.00)
    Engine> Fuel>Open Loop/Base>Open Loop>EQ ratio(alcohol) – (140 deg up to 284 deg all KPa 1.00)

    Engine> Fuel>> Cutoff,DFCO> Deceleration Fuel Cutoff> Enable ECT – (284 deg F)

Engine>Spark>Advance - (Copy High octane table to Low octane table)

    Engine Diag> Airflow>Mass Airflow Sensor>MAF Frequency Fail High – (0 Hz)
    Engine Diag>DTCs – (set P0101, P0102, P0103 to MIL on First Error)

thank you I ended up figuring out I had something wrong in the histograms, I finished up VE table and ran great, moved onto MAF and it runs like garbage while dynamic airflow is disabled made a little progress on afr but now im having and issue where 5-6k HZ im getting extreme rich and lean readings (from 1500rpm -3000k) I don't understand how the maf can read the same amount of airflow and be so drastically different. im going to go back over everything and make sure that everything is setup properly, what do YOU do for setting for MAF tuning?

Tuned the MAF and VE tables, Everything looked good had trims within 3% in both tables figured id move to torque management things, so I turned everything back on stft/open loop and now its super rich, I don't understand where im going wrong with everything. im going to have no hair left by the end of this

Sure for MAF tuning on gen3 I use this setup,

    MAF TUNING SETTINGS:

    Engine>Airflow>Dynamic>High RPM Disable – (100 rpm)

    Engine>Fuel>Oxygen Sensors>Close Loop Enable>ECT vs. IAT – (284 deg Entire Table)
    Engine>Fuel>Oxygen Sensors> Long Term Fuel Trims> Min ECT – (283 deg F)

    Engine>Fuel>Open Loop/Base>Open Loop> EQ ratio – (140 deg up to 284 deg all KPa 1.00)
    Engine> Fuel>Open Loop/Base>Open Loop>EQ ratio(alcohol) – (140 deg up to 284 deg all KPa 1.00)

    Engine> Fuel> Cutoff, DFCO> Deceleration Fuel Cutoff> Enable ECT – (284 deg F)

    Engine>Fuel>Temperature Control>Catalyst Protection, COT – (Disable)

Engine>Spark>Advance - (Copy High octane table to Low octane table)

I've found that the MAF has quite a bit of influence on fueling, Take some good long rides and easy on the pedal to get some good data. You want to hit them cell as many times as you can safely.
