    9" install: DONE!

Finally got a real rear put under this thing. Now I need real tires. Wayne (Dragman) got me the parts I needed to get this thing done. Man, its nice having something back there I dont have to worry about.

I got 4.30's with a locker. The locker is awesome. Everyone complains about it but I love it!

Here is what I bought, just incase anyone is interested in getting one in the future:

    -assembled center section
    -moser axle/housing/torque arm mount package
    -u-joint conversion
-sway bar kit for aftermarket rear
    -gear oil
    -gasket for center section
-adjustable LCA's (so I can move the rear forward, it went back about 0.5", which I have seen is typical)
-cut my bolt on LCA brackets and welded them in
-had to press everything on my new axles and u joint into the driveshaft
-file down a small edge on the wheel sensor so they will fit by the 3" axle tubes
-brackets for the stuff to bolt back up to the rear (just made some and tacked them on)
-1/4" NPT fitting for 1/4" synflex for rear vent (got that at work)

Wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it was a PITA trying to get the LCA brackets cut and welded right and pressing the parts on the axles (real easy once we found a hydraulic press lol). Other than that it was just hard to move because it was so damn heavy. Laying down on your back the whole time isnt fun either.

    Here are some pics

Oh, and is the moving it a half inch back something that is limited to the 9" rears, or have you heard that for the 12-bolts too?

I think that is just the 9" but I am not sure really. EPP on tech said something about all the 9" they see go back about 0.5"

Guess I'll find out soon enough. Was it contacting something, or did you measure?

just looking at it, it looks further back, I am anal about stuff like that. Then I read about it and have to fix it haha.

It wont be an issue unless I want to run a 28" tire or so. Right now there isnt a problem with it.

With those 4.30s, I think a 28" tire might be closer than you'd think

What the hell? I've seen you posting on here before, and didn't realize you are only a stone's throw away from where I grew up (Scottsburg, IN). Not too terribly far from Dayton either. Learn something new every day
