Hmmmm... Maybe find a 2009 G8 GT tune, copy over the engine settings ONLY and write calibration to get started. DO NOT WRITE ENTIRE or LICENSE THE G8 TUNE AND WRITE IT? If youre not familiar with this, DONT TRY IT. Rather get someome to help you.

Someone might chime it and tell you to not try this. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I think your truck has an E38, just like a G8...

same motor just your new l76 has more compression, which means....more horsepower. don't fret it should work. get a wideband. its prob airflow or maybe spark. can you drive it?

The L76 have AFM/DoD too where as the LY6 is just VVT.

Did you delete the AFM/DoD system?
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

he can disable that stupid DOD with the software right? and cant you disable the VVT also?

    Yes.

I asked because his LY6 harness won't have the stuff for the AFM system, so if that it not disabled it won't run correctly.

I meant to tell the OP that. I should've known better since I own an G8.

Hey JuanVelez, have you pulled a copy of the tune file from the ECM yet?

Pull the file from the ecm and post it. It's probably airflow, timing or you need to disable some stuff
