Edit or Change Axis - Functional or Aesthetic

Probably a stupid question, and mostly aesthetic if you are changing the end of a table, but is an edit or change to a table axis legitimately used by the car's ECM, or aesthetic in VCM editor? For example, the first value for ECT in the fan speed table is 213.0f. If I lower the axis value and set a percent fan speed, will it actually cut on earlier (say 200.0f)? Or will the fan still only cut on at 213.0f because it is just aesthetic in the editor?

Its not an aesthetic, its the code. What you change changes the code.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
