I have done several Gen 5 LT series engine swaps with the E92 controlling a fan relay instead of having to utilize a PWM fan. Typically just setting the Hz frequency to 1200Hz holds the relay closed letting the fans come on.
However, today I am having no luck. The factory PWM frequency setting is 100Hz and no matter the change I make in the tune, the signal across the relay remains 100Hz not the 1200Hz I set it to.
Any ideas?
It says to set at 128hz in the editor. Have you tried this? I wonder if 1200hz is out of range for the setting?Originally Posted by JBMRACING0105
Interesting. I just had a restomod with the same issue. Something must have changed because the last one I did, also had the same issue. The shop ended up having to add a thermostat to the Efans just to get the swap completed. Anyone else experience this lately?
