LSA MAP Sensor vs VVE table and custom OS

    Hi guys,

    Couple of quick questions.
Firstly my car is a factory LSA E67/T43 now fitted with a 427ci 2650

I can see in the VVE we can take it out to 315kpa/8200rpm

However people say the sensor is limited to 255kpa.
To double down on that, the sensor is sold/advertised as a 3bar sensor and guys on the LS1 platform claim to use it from what I?ve read for 3bar tuning.

    1. So what is it?
Is the ECU only limited to 255kpa
And the sensor does read to 315kpa but the ECU doesn?t recognise anything above 255kpa?

    Next question
Many Tuners here in Australia go to the custom 2.5bar OS
    So my question is

    2. What are the pros and cons of going to a custom OS on the E67 ECU other than the fixed VE table.

Car has a 427ci 2650 expected boost once turned up will be 23-25psi

VVE and factory MAP read to 3 bar, the proper VE "table" will only go to 2.5 bar so airflow will go further just it will stay in the last 255 column value for fueling, the 2 bar OS does get a lower fan control if ur using 160 stat thats bout it (earlier MAF got the increased maf range), u can open your tune file and apply the 2 bar OS then save it and then open it to have a look at the changes u get then if u want to use it do write entire first time and then apply the other 2 patches SD and Manifold boost so it works right
