    DTC Fault Class Type Identification.

    Under Engine Diagnostics on a 2013 Ford Super duty 6.7 Powerstroke.
    I am looking for information on Fault Class Type 1-9 Identification What does each Type do?

    The different fault types determine, what happens when a specfic codes pops up.

    CEL, Wrench light, Wrench with CEL etc etc.

    Even with the fault set to disabled the fault will still be active in the background it just wont pop a light and if its a limp mode code, it will still limp mode.

    If you're looking to completely disable a specfic code.. HPT does not do it.

    Codes are disabled with Disable Masks on EDC17 and HPT will never ship a stock build with the ability to disable DTCs on 11-19 6.7s or any other EDC17 based ford.

    Thanks heaps for explaining this...this makes perfect sense like for example if one person wants to disable an egr he needs to do it in the egr map table disabling in engine diagnostic does not do anything but hide codes to pop up on the dash
