    Angry Knock retard

I have a tune set up, was getting ready to tune the MAF and VE tables so I wanted to do a run just to keep and make sure I'm doing better on everything. I have the Horsepower calculation set up.... So basically I didn't change a thing between tunes other then the Airflow vs Frequency table.... It is showing that it lost power, now mind you I am doing the pulls in basically the same areas at the same speed and all of my numbers are almost identical to each other, I am seeing a 43 hp loss with the corrected MAF vs the stock set up, but I'm also not seeing knock retard now. I am running E85 as well and the timing is going up to 32 degrees which I feel is too advanced even though my tables are set to 25. Has anyone had this issue and did you removed timing from the flex fuel spark tables or the high octane tables? 2017 Camaro SS btw

When you change the MAF values it changes the Airmass Calculation. This will change which part of your base spark table is referenced. Additionally, there are Alcohol Spark adder tables that you need to tune.

Ok... So I did my log file this morning for the MAF, it was showing 407 hp, no knock anywhere and that is at 32 degrees. The first one I did was before the MAF calibration, it was showing 449 hp, and about 8 degrees removed from 33 degrees...... The third one I did just now is showing 8.2 degrees pulled because of knock, its showing 20 degrees and 428.8 hp. I'm losing my mind because I assumed being E85 and burning faster it should run better with lower timing.

If you're trying to measure HP from HP Tuners scanner, it is wildly inaccurate. It uses calculated airmass into a formula. Changing the MAF will change what that outputs for sure. If you need tune help, post your mods and your tune file/log.

Ok so what I'm only able to do is see my timing table in one row.... The spark tables are RPM and Spark airmass..... On the scanner they are set up as RPM and MAP sensor... If I change them to read cylinder airmass it only stays in one row..

There are youtube videos and existing threads on how to set up graphs.
