Modified 05 Cummins Need Help.. Need good Tune to start with or help Building a Tune

I just recently finishing putting together my 2005 and would greatly appreciate some help on a tune.
i have a tune from a reputable tuner at the moment but it is way to smokey and the tune is locked so I'm unable to view the tune to edit it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to learn the basics and have a good starting point and from there I will have a better understanding HP Tuners. Any help would greatly be appreciated and I can pay you for your knowledge and time if need be. The truck is just extremely hazey at idle and too smokey on the street and I know it can be cleaned up. Thanks in advance

I know first hand in the gas world the 83 turbine in a t6 works really well... lol As for the OP your injectors should have a sheet for what they flow at certain pressures.. I would start by scaling down the pulsewidth with the help of that sheet
