    Anybody know the difference: GM stage2 and new update GM stage2 flash?

    Anybody know the difference? Timing?A/F?VE table?

    Yup.

    Basically three things were changed in the GM stage update.
    1 Idle RPM was raised from 750 to 850 in PARK/Neutral from 177degrees on up
    2 Injector offset vs Battery Voltage was changed to stabalize the changing idle.
    3 Maf Sensor fail rate was upped from 10,000hz to 11,000hz to elliminate the CEL light

    Thanks Nate. There's a lot of very knowledgable people in the redline forums.... Those guy's have a lot more experience with the LSJ then us Cobalt guy's...

    Don't forget the IFR tables are still WRONG. Air fuel is TERRIBLY LEAN down low and TERRIBLY RICH up top....

    I am sorry to say it, and I know it sounds harsh but GM has no clue what is going on

    How many staged vehicles have you seen that you can actually make a statement like that?

    mmm... ifr tables? new to the lsj platform...but im drawing a blank..unlrss u meant afr?

    Not AFR he's talking about the Injector fueling table. I don't think they don't know what they are doing, I just think they aren't actually testing these reflashes as much as they should. Anyone who drives their cobalt with a stage reflash feels the hesitations.

    i think GM is forcing these engineers to make quick fixes for the 2.0L SC
