most people do because when you have headers your knock sensor becomes sensitive.
this is how I have mine tuned (LSA) based on some feedback I have received from other tuners. It is reduced from 0.012 - 0.048 air flow and active only in V8 mode.

Bust knock isn't actually the Knock Sensor detecting knock. It is only the ECU using it to pull timing on large airmass changes where Knock Retard is more likely to occur. Personally when I tune cars I usually just cut the allowed burst knock value in half vs completely disabling because most of them are street cars. But for a drag setup I would disable it completely at the track.
