Reading and writing to a VCM on the bench
Hello,
I am sure there is an answer to this somewhere, but I am new to this site and couldnt find an answer. If I wanted to read/write a computer while its not installed in a vehicle, what are the minimum connections I will have to have. To clarify, I am working on a 320 pin PCM P/N 12200411 or similar. I have lots of connectors and junk harnesses laying around to work with.
I know I will need the powers, grounds, key on power, and the wires between an OBD2 data link connector. I have access to alldata and can find the wiring diagrams I will need.
I just didnt know if there was anyting else I will need to have hooked up.
Is this how people do the mail order VCMs?
