    Reading non-HPT tunes

Will HPT read/convert EFIL *.tun files or does it have to read the tune from a PCM (0411)? -Bob

If the truck was tuned with EFI before, HP Tuners can still read it as long as it wasn't like tuner locked or something.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

At the moment I only have the EFIL tun file, its not flashed to a PCM. Would like to avoid paying a license fee just to have it flashed to PCM if I don't have to.

Well then you are out of luck I guess. Never seen a way to convert a file into a HPT file.

Then I assume there is something on the PCM that doesn't get captured by the downloaded EFIL *.tun file?

I can't comment on that, never used EFI live.

I just know that we can read and license files that were already tuned by EFI Live.
