    2001 silverado 5.3 bad idle with AC on

    Hey guys. 2001 silverado 5.3 BTR stage 2 truck cam. The truck runs and drives pretty good and makes good power. Until I turn my ac on. Then it does a weird long slow choppy idle. Almost as if its trying to regulate idle speed, but it keeps going up and down 2-300 rpms. Also feels like it just does not make very much power while ac is on. I dont have a log at the moment, but will try to get one posted soon. Is this a fairly common issue? Any help would be a great!

    Possibly you have a compressor on its way out, but mine also feels like it robs a lot of power. make sure your base RAF is good and if so add to the ac inertia table i believe its called, and zero the spark max retard table under TM>Engine>AC torque.
