Gong from 2 BAR OS to 3 BAR OS

I have a 2004 GTO with the P59 computer. It currently has a 2 BAR OS. If I want to change to a 3 BAR OS, would I have to first Write Entire the stock OS file, then Write Entire the 3 BAR OS file?

Or would I simply take my stock OS file, apply the 3 BAR OS modification, save the file with a new name and Write Entire from 2 BAR OS to 3 BAR OS?

I always flash back to stock. I don't think you can flash a upgraded OS over an upgraded OS.

Ok, so I went back to stock and then flashed the new custom OS. This time I had to turn off VATS to keep the car running. Did I do something wrong?

    No, that can happen.

If you did a security relearn the VATS disable may not have been required. I tend to disable it a lot of older cars because I don't trust the keys.
