Hi all, I am doing a stand alone harness for my 5.3, I have done a manual segment swap and was wondering are the clutch inputs required or are the only used for starting in a factory setup? Thanks

Buy a Holley terminator and don't waste your time with stock harness and hpt. After doing this myself I wouldn't ever consider a stock harness, ECM for standalone. It tunes itself!
Thanks for the reply but that?s not the answer to my question
It can, provided you don't have any fuel injector issues or exhaust leaks prior to the wideband, and you know how to set the timing table up properly because it won't do that part for you.
I do agree that it's easier than the stock ecu stuff in most cases and is a fantastic system, but it still should not be touted as a silver bullet for those that don't know how to properly tune their vehicle.
