being a old school carb and distributor guy we used to want a locked in timing curve(all in at 2200 or so) at like 32 to 36 btdc......how aggressive can i go on 6.0l?? or a 5.3 for that matter?

No where near that.
20-27ish degrees depending on mods and what the engine wants. Don't just flat line the timing at a single value either. Look at how the stock timing tables are, they vary in timing based on engine rpm and cylinder airmass.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
