Camaro ZL1 17 M6 Violent Shaking Under WOT

Hello all, I recently installed Kook LT headers (2") on my ZL1. But today while driving, I got a flashing CEL under hard acceleration. It usually only happens when the boost gauge goes over the first tick after 0 and there's a really bad shake, like it's misfiring. I have a P0300 Random Misfire code. I'm still on stock tune as well. Would the spark plugs be fouled any? It's not a cracked spark plug or burnt wire. These have happened over the past few months but we've fixed those probems so I'm looking for any suggestions on what it could be.

I would try a new set of spark plugs, using plenty of dielectric grease in the coil boot ends.

Scan each cylinder and see!! Could be just a bad Or cracked plug

Okay so I ran a log last night and cylinder 5 was misfiring at 50% and above throttle. The plug seems a little fouled. I?m gonna a replace it with a new one and switch the wires between 3 and 5 to see if it?s a problem with that.

It seems as if the car is running to lean? I do have 2" inch long tube headers and catless pipes to cutouts. If anyone can lead me in the right direction on what I should do to my stock tune file, It'd be greatly appreciated

Without a log or a wideband we really have no idea if it's running lean. You own the car so that is something you need to figure out.

And or inspect the rest of the spark plugs and wires for damage as well as checking for exhaust leaks.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Get the car on the dyno with a wideband or install a wideband in the car and tune it properly. If it's running lean enough to violently shake you're going to break something. But I doubt its running that lean. It's more likely you have bad plug wires and/or a damaged plug. I always install new MSD wires or equivalent with header installs. I also remove the plugs before removing the old manifolds and put them back is after the headers are installed and bolted down. Its very easy to damage stock plug wires when removing if you dont use the proper tool and its almost guaranteed that you will damage a plug if you dont remove them when installing headers.
