Im same problem with 2007 TBSS 4l80 swap, all the swap is done, the harness was wrong and I have to correct the pins, now all is connected as the TB has a oem 4l80e.
Now my question is what file and OS I need to use for the TCM. I overwrite the parameters with the info of 2007 Suburban, but couldnt do segment swap the OS.
I need to change the OS to make it work? Right now the 80e is in limb mode in 3rd gear and speedometer is not working.
    Any help will be appreciated.

No need to change the OS, both vehicles use TCM OS 24235341. You will need to segment swap the Transmission and Trans Diag segments, then change tire size/speedo/etc to match what you have installed. Write Entire for the initial segment changes (likely don't need to but no harm on the T42).

Ah, my apologies, I looked in my repo and saw 24235341 as the TCM OS, but that file was one I'd already swapped to an 80E. TCM OS 24238660 is the stock 07 TBSS one, I've edited my previous post to correct this.

Post up your stock file, let me see if I can get it seg swapped for you. If not, you'll need to license the Suburban file (or the 06 TBSS file that's already 80e swapped in this thread). Then Write Entire JUST THE TCM , that will change the TCM OS to 24235341.

You need to use an 06/07 Suburban or Silverado 80E TCM OS 24235341 and Write Entire it to your TCM.

    Basically for TBSS 4L80E swap:
06 - use 06/07 Suburban or Silverado 80E TCM OS 24235341, can segment swap as factory OS IDs match.
07 - use 06/07 Suburban or Silverado 80E TCM OS 24235341, cannot segment swap this as factory OS IDs do not match. Must Write Entire from a licensed file OR flash it outside of HPTuners.
08 - use 08 Express Van TCM OS 24239927, can segment swap as factory OS IDs match.
09 - use 09 Express Van TCM OS 24243356, can segment swap as factory OS IDs match. (I haven't tested this one.)

There are a few base changes that need to be made once the segment swap has been done, like speedo/shift points/tire size, before you start driving it.

I am working through the same issue without success.
07 TBSS with ECM OS: 12611938, TCM 24238660
I have wrote in the TCM OS 24235341 from a 07 Suburban w/E67 and it is always in 2nd gear, cluster reads 1st all the time and. PRNDL readout in HPTuners is accurate.
All 06 Silverado's were classic body style with P59 controller (same as the 07 Express). I also tried a stock 08 Express TCM OS 24239927 with the same no comm issue. Not sure where to go from here.

What base T42 80E file did you use? I did a quick compare with the file blindsquirrel posted above and see a handful of differences, especially under the General -> Configuration setting (NSBU and DRI configs plus a few ISS and OSS).
