    2011 Raptor flex fuel enable

I am interested in enabling flex fuel on my 6.2l raptor. The logic is in the tune but disabled. Is setting it up for E85 as simple as dropping in larger injectors, setting the values and enabling flex fuel in the tune?

My intent is to drop GT500 injectors in this and run it on E85, If I can't enable flex fuel can I check the E ratio when I fill up and modify the AFR settings in the tune?

Here is the stock file: RAPTOR BASE TUNE.hpt

Engine is pretty well stock, just corsa exhaust and tuning.

E85 and injectors are the first step. I will eventually go FI but I want to be more competent in the tuning first.

These will get you started and use the 2011 f150 5.0 stock flex fuel file as a compare

Spark timing is on you, and you will need to adjust fuel bases on how your setup makes power

    RAPTOR BASE TUNE - e85 base.hpt

RAPTOR BASE TUNE - Flex fuel base.hpt

Wondering how this worked out for the OP?

I'm looking to do something similar on my supercharged 2011 Raptor. Hoping I can install a flex fuel sensor and wire it into the truck so it automatically adjusts for e85 since it's hit or miss finding it around here.

    Awesome, thanks for the update.

After some more reading looks like Ford doesn't use a flex fuel sensor. They just watch the long term fuel trims and infer ethanol percentage based on the oxygen sensors. Kind of neat but not sure how fast it reacts, does your truck take a couple minutes to sort itself out when you switch between 91 and E85 at the gas station?

Yes, they will run a little rough for a few seconds on startup with E85 as well. It isn't a big deal though.
