    New trans no shift

So I put a new built trans in my 15 scat pack. Now I get no shift from park. The shifter just flashes. Now I've been told that I may need the latest update from dealer but not sure and just curious if anyone else has ran into this?? Can I just flash my TCM tune Into the trans and see if that works or is a trip to the dealer required.

Did you put your original TCM in it?

The trans was a completely different unit.

TCM probably will need to be replaced or you'll need to pay for a J2534 magician to make it work.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

TCM has to talk to the other modules - security and VIN, etc. Was your trans brand new or used from another car? Brand new should work, but used would already have a VIN and security code in it.

Get with Hellraiser performance as I know they have pioneered the HP90 into HP70 car swap and have a tune that makes it work.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

Just talked to dealer and was told they just need to flash it with their software for it to work. Cost is 120$

Thanks for the info. The valve body is brand new. Is the TCM located in the trans or just a module in valve body that's needs vin??

I believe it's in the valve body. You can try flashing your stock file into it and see what happens.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

If the valve body has been changed the tcm will need a new "stock tune" from the dealer or someone with a good scan tool. This is purely for the solenoids response times to be programmed into the tcm, as each solenoid responds slightly faster or slower and this is critical in getting good repeatable shifting performance.

Unfortunately no. Still having same problem. I'm beginning to think I have a bad valve body but I dont have the knowledge or tools to check. After the dealer trip I'm now picking up several more unrelated codes.

The only thing changed was the transmission. Just dont see how something could have changed as far as modules go. After the dealer trip I've seem to have just made more issues than I solved.

Did you try writing it with your old tune file?

I'd try contacting Hellraiser performance if I were you.
