    6L80E fast learn not enabled

Hi hope someone can help here.
    I just did a 2018 L83 swap in a Land Rover defender with a 2017 6L80E

I was trying to do a fast learn - however I don?t get the tabs for fast learn only the resets tabs
    I have 3 tabs

    Trans adapt reset
    Trans adapt preset
    Trans fast adapt reset

    Also in the PIDs
The trans cleaning status and trans fast learn status are both disabled

    Thank for any feedback.
    Bal

Was the 2017 TCM programed to the 2018 file that you are using to run the engine?

The PCM and TCM should be programmed to matching operating system.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    Thank for the feed back.
How can I program the TCM to 2018 using HP Tunners?
I thought it was a matter of doing the fast relearn.

Are you even able to read the TCM off of that transmission?

If it was me I would have flashed the PCM/TCM with a dealership GM Tool so that everything matched, then licensed the file for tuning.

I’m able to read the TCM - I looked at couple of tunes of the same year from the repository - It seems the TCM OS needs up to same year.

It seems if I want to reflash the TCM with a stock Repository tune of same year as my ECM using hp tunners I need to pay another 4 credits.
I made the mistake at the start when I should have re-flashed both TCM and ECM with stock tune of the ECM. Oh well.

Hi hoping someone can help. The TCM OS is matching the ECM.
I can both - however I still have the issue of Trans fast learn disable and trans cleaning status disabled.

Hi, I am sorry, can`t help, but I have exact same issue. Tried today with Autel maxis and got failed even doing trying the presets. Transmission is matched to ECM, (2017 L83 and 2013 6L90) Transmission is rebuilt and shifts is slipping from 2-3 and 3-4.

You may need to stop recording then try the trans reset parameters.

I never got to do a fast learn, so I just drove it "grandma" style for a while, approx 80-100miles. It shifts way better now, slipping and flare is almost gone.

Yeah - I’ve been told to run it for about 200km and see how that feels. Just finishing off couple of final touches and then I’ll run it for few hundred km and see.
