What is your STOCK operating system id number? Thats the number you need to look for...
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Yup, you need to perform the segment swap on the stock OS.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Let me ask you this, how did you already get to the point of having the 2 or 3 bar OS installed on your file?

Someone had to have done the clicking of the mouse to add this OS that typed out here.

When you look at your calibration details it's going to say 125XXXX > 1252064 Speed density 2/3 bar. So the first numbers are what the factory files OS was.

If you have the stock file for your vehicle, you need to flash back to that file and then do the OS swap with that file if you can find a 4L80e tune that matches it. Do the segment swap, save it under a new name and then redo your 2/3 bar OS upgrade for your vehicle.

One more try at this ... 1252064 is NOT an OEM GM OS. It would seem that at some point over its 15 year life, the PCM was reflashed with a COS of sorts - or you are looking at the wrong information.

The most widely used OS in 2005 was 12592618 (but there were others).

What is the VIN for the vehicle ?

    Thank you for the VIN.

Your original GM OS was 12592618. However, there was a GM update released to OS 12606961 - which tells me that this is likely a 5.3L Flex Fuel engine (or at least this calibration).

If memory serves, only the 5.3L engines were updated to OS 12606961 - which means you will likely not find a 4L80 segment for that particular OS.

The easiest option would likely be to find a 2005 LQ4 6.0L 4L80 (OS 12592618) calibration as a starting point - and adjust (copy over / import) the engine parameters of the calibration as necessary (if you have a 5.3L engine).

After all of this has been completed, then you could once again apply the 2-bar or 3-bar HPT COS (if desired).

I do not know what your project "needs" are.

You have not described your overall LS project, nor if this drivetrain is still in a 2005 GM - or if it is a conversion project.

OK ... so OEM platform ... bolt-ons ... transmission swap to 4L80 .... naturally aspirated.

You should be able to run 2005 OS 12592618 with a base L59 5.3L calibration, and segment swap the transmission segments from a 2005 LQ4 6.0L 4L80 4x4 calibration with that same OS.

Not sure why someone applied the HPT COS 2-bar / 3-bar enhancement - you are not running boost.

    no boost.
    thats a 8# os# correct?
i did have a tuner make some base adjustments for the cam.
i don't think he did any thing with the 2 bar
but i did at 1 point have a bullydog tuner installed before.
    could that have changed this?
thanks again for shareing your experience.

Post the two files you are trying to segment swap between.

I dont know how to make a new thread but i do have a similar issue. I did a 4l80e swap for my 2 wheel drive 2005 5.3 Tahoe.

my car will only start after finding the right segment match, and if i hook up my scanner it shows 1st the second i start the vehicle but if i shift the column it says 2nd and stays in 2nd if i command a gear you can hear the click but i have to go 4000 rpm for it to just want to roll, i am getting all sensors reading on the scanner and checked the wiring i did the ict billet swap harness, and if you row through the gears it shows what you are in on the dash but scanner says 2nd gear until you command one and then it goes to the gear you selected, i got line pressure reading and it still wont shift. I have triple checked everything and have looked everywhere online and cant find a solution please help thanks
