U0140 - Lost Communication with Body Control Module

I just installed a 1320 transmission from a 2019 Challenger into my 2015 Scat Pack.

For the most part, it is working really well.

I'm running it on stock settings with the exception of output shaft speeds for WOT shift points.

All other systems in the car are also working as expected and there are no other codes.

Has anyone seen a U0140 related to a transmission swap? I see U0140 in the trans diagnostics, so I assume it tries to communicate with the TCM in some way or another.

The only function not working correctly is that I will lose manual mode at times. During the last test drive, I lost it completely and it didn't return. The paddles still work normally.

I've been told that an advanced scanner, such as a WITECH, can pinpoint the module that has lost communication.

Is it the same TCM OS as the one you removed?

You can try initiating the body control module wirh something like AlphaOBD and an OBDLINK MX+. It can do many of the same things as a dealer scan tool.
