2015 Escalade Flex Upgrade Issues

I had noticed some had gotten away with doing this method you mention too. But my CCLB sierra has a solid line all the way past this section. So no place to tap in right at the spot where the sensor connector is. I would have to agree with your thinking that the SUV's have a spot setup in the fuel line there for it, but the trucks do not. Or at least not all trucks do.

Figured, that's why I noted I wasn't certain on the Silverado/Sierra.
Luckily, on the SUV's you just need to replace the short hose assembly to the gm female to female assembly. Luckily that's it for the SUV's.

For the Silverado/Sierras you have to either install it like Dominatorstang did (and I will be doing a variation of) where the sensor is further rearward than it is with the factory installation or... if you want a true factory-style installation, you have to have the following parts:

Flex Fuel Sensor - 13577429
Flex Fuel Sensor Mount - 20967866
Flex hose/fuel line (towards engine) - 23171538
Flex hose/fuel line (towards fuel tank) - 20967834
Fuel line (towards engine) - 23171532 (I think this is the correct P/N, but was difficult to verify online)
Fuel line (towards fuel tank) - 23158924 (this varies depending on wheelbase, but this is the part for a 153" wheelbase)
Fuel line bracket - 15168646
Fuel Tank Filler Cap E85 - 22921366

Single cab trucks also need a filler hose, as the factory had different ones for Gas vs. E85. Crew cabs and extended cab trucks have an E85 ready filler hose.

1st time post here, so go easy on me ....

running off the E85 virtual currently and want to move to a true sensor.

Has anyone had any dealing on a 2018 Escalade and no sensor plug? The closet I have seen pics/vids on, are of the sensor plug on the gas tank shield with a tree connector on a 2018 Denali L86, but I cant find anything on my 2018 Escalade L86 6.2L.

any body ever find the plug?

also, as others say, the 2018 escalade shows a pin on X1 38 already (fuel temp/composition)... is this pin used on something else on non flex trucks? will taking this stock wire off and tapping my sensor to it affect anything else?

The plug should be there on your Escalade. Drivers inside of the frame rail just in front of the fuel tank.

This shows where the sensor goes. The plug is right near there and should currently be plugged into a dead connector to protect it.

That?s where I was looking. Just concerned an Escalade might be different. It does have a huge automatic running board harness around that area. On the 2018 Denali Yukon it?s on the plastic tank guard. Closest open hole next to frame. You think maybe it?s in a different spot ?

The connector will look like it's plugged in... It's a dead socket. I'll take a picture of mine later tonight and post it.

Here's the connector plugged into my FF sensor. It's a bit tricky to hold the light and get a decent shot so hopefully this helps. The connector end is a brownish/orange color.

Yea where you have the 2 bundles coming out of the plastic ?Tee?? I only have one, for the sensor in the fuel line. Bummer. Maybe late escalades had that omitted from the harness.

I?m thinking on trucks that had only one engine option they didn?t add the plug, ie all suburban Yukons and tahoes had an option 5.3. On the 6.2 on the Escalades. I guess I?ll just wire it in off something for power.

Could be they just omitted it starting in '18 or something. Mine's a '16 6.2 Yukon XL Denali for reference.

2016 Escalade ESV here. No connector under the drivers door. ECM is already pinned. Will pin the x125 pin 17 connector to the alcohol content sensor and report back after I get everything installed.

Yep, been working great the past 10,000 miles or so.

I do not have the plug either, 2016 Escalade. When I looked at the factory data it shows x125 pin 17. Shows white wire circuit 1579.
