Will this allow you to do adaptations to the 02E DSG? Just installed a new Mechatronic unit and have been waiting on a friend to use another program to perform the adaptation?

When will we be able to open tune files without MPVI2 connected? I'm not a current HPT customer, but thinking about moving over to this for my Audi S3 and Corvette, which are currently tuned on different tuning products. I just want a little preview into what tables are available etc before I move over etc.

    Thanks

    How about MED 17.5.2 in a 2013 CC 2.0T?
Also, if these VAG's have been previously tuned with a different software, is it necessary to return them to a stock flash prior to "reading" with the MPVI2?

Unfortunately never, interface needs to be connected in order to view these files, sorry.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

You can open and view most files with the demo version. There are a few vehicles that require the interface to be plugged in.

^this, unfortunately an increasing amount of vehicles do require an MPVI2 in order to view the files, there is no way around this, sorry. You should be able to open ANY of the provided SAMPLE files that can be opened with the trial version, anything beyond that is not guaranteed though.

And more specifically, AFAIK you won't be able to view tunes from any VAG vehicles without an interface, so you will not be able to see what you can change on your car.

Yes you would need a MPVI2 Connected to open the tune files.
