    2018 Challenger 6.4 with EFORCE Edelbrock

    HELLO GUYS
    just 1000 miles on it.
    at WOT, when it engages 4rd gear at 100 mph with hot oil it kepp trowing out P1524

    it had 0W40 oil, I switched to 5W50 and it is a lot worse.
    any experience to share?

    P1524-OIL PRESSURE OUT OF RANGE - CAMSHAFT ADVANCE/RETARD DISABLED


    When Monitored and Set Conditions

    When Monitored: This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

    ? With the engine running.
    ? Battery voltage above 11.49 volts.
    ? Engine speed above 1100 rpm.
    ? Oil temperature between 7.0?C (44.6?F) and 188.0?C (370.4?F).
    ? No active Engine Oil Temperature Sensor or Engine Oil Pressure Sensor circuit faults.
    ? No active Cam/Crank Misalignment or VCT Solenoid performance faults.


    Set Conditions:

    ? The engine oil pressure never reaches the calibrated specification to allow the VCT activation.

    was a bad oil pressure sensor...
    now I keep fighting with P0300 same condition...

    did you check plugs and what not

    I just ordered 6510 plugs, colder than stock 6.4 hemi...
    let's give them a try

    with plugs out checked compression.. cyl 3 is down...
    will start tearing down to see what happened soon!
