JK Goes into Limp Mode MAP Issue???

I've got a 2008 Jeep Wrangler that was brought to me with a Limp Mode Issue. Went through everything and tried just about everything I could think of. The second the vehicle it's 131 kPa it goes into limp mode. Same place, same pressure, every time. It doesn't kick any CEL's. Just the flashing lightning bolt and ESP goes off. ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm pulling what is left of my hair out.

I'll let someone else chime in on this as I'm completely new... but under Airflow/General/Pressure Ratio... what do these settings do? They say they are MAP vs Barometric and MAP vs inlet pressure maximums.

Also, what map sensor is being used?

Is this a new issue? Has it been running decent and just started going into limp mode or is this something you've been tuning?

This was a vehicle that a customer brought to me. It HAD a tune on it before from the company that installed it years ago. When he took it into the dealership for a bad MAP sensor, the idiots reflashed the ECU and wiped the tune out. The company that built it originally is no longer in business.

The SRT8 is a 2 bar map. Everything I looked up, including a stock tune, shows a 2 bar setup.

I don?t think so , the stock map sensor on a stock claibration has 26 kpa per volt so it reaches 125 kpa naximum . It?s a 1 bar map

It’s a naturally aspirated engine why would they put a 2 bar map in it ?

The map sensor that is in it, is a MOPAR sensor that is a 2 bar. I suppose I didn't explain that right. It's the one they use in ProCharger applications. Not stock SRT8

well i looked at the tune and many things need to be changed
first the map characteristics are wrong its 48.9kpa and 4. something you need to look it up
max p ratio is still stock you need to make it into 2 also in the engine diag section airflow you need to raise all the limits concerning the map and torque deltas

Do you have any ideas what injectors are in this? That might be a pretty big issue for you if it was flashed back to stock.

it runs well upto 130kpa so most likely the current settings suffice

as mentioned there needs to be alot of work done

flash this and the limp mode should be gone

you need injectors at least for any boost application

If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

I don't. That's the crappy part. I have no idea what injectors are in it. I know they aren't the stock injectors.

That's going to be a much bigger issue for you than the map sensor.

Is it a kit or was it something home-brewed? You haven't really mentioned what kind of blower is on there. That could be a clue.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

it was a kit and I've called the company that made them and they have ZERO information on their injectors used unless you have the order number. Kinda b.s. but it is what it is.
