    Gm E01 ECM Unlock

    HPTuners ,

Do yall have a rough schedule of this ecu being unlocked for editing? This ecu would cover the cadillac ct4, ct4v, ct5, silverado 2.7t, and cadillac xt4 so car to my knowledge.

Really interested to see it unlocked for the ct4v as I believe there's tons of potential in the platform.

    Thanks!

Same question here. I understand that you guys don't like to provide timelines. Maybe you could just let us know something vague, like 'we're working on that one', or 'no way that one's going to be cracked'. Might save me $90,000.

I wouldn?t hold my breath bill had posted in another thread that the direction gm was headed was going to make support much past 19-20 difficult if not impossible.

The CT4 and CT5 are "Global B" vehicles like the C8, so I'd expect support for them after we see it for the C8.

I've seen pricing of the newer silverado engines which like the c7zr1 need to have the ecu sent in to be repinned or jailbroken if you will, then the customer would have access to tuning. Its an expensive price like 1100 or something close to that. And I'll be honest I would pay it if the availability for ecu and tcm editing was there for the ct4v and silverado. There alot of power left in these platforms and also a good bit of people wanting tuning access to this platform as well!

I'm sure if it was possible, it'd already have been done. You're not the first to ask for it, there's a LOT of interest (especially globally) for the E01, and it's been around since 2019.

For the CT4-V, it gets even worse. That's a "Global B" architecture vehicle which has massively upgraded network security in it. There's no C8 tuning yet because of the challenges it imposes, and believe me, there's definitely interest out there for the C8. So, when you see C8 tuning support come along, perhaps soon after you'll see support for the CT4-V.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no amount of badgering these guys is going to change anything. If it can be done, they'll do it.

I've tried to read one but module is not recognized and cannot dload the bin...even with the newest beta. Scannable parameters are also limited.

Hey man, were you able to scan and get an info log by chance? If so could you please message it to me, as I'm trying to see if the transmission can be separately tuned from the ecu by hptuners.

    Thanks man!

These vehicles use the T93 TCM. Not supported (see the chatter in the V8 Transmission section about this TCM).

Is there any way to cross reference an ECM part number to figure out whether its an E01, or whatever? Here are a few examples...

    CT4-12703874 (LSY/L3B) (ALSO ENVISION AND CT5)

    CT5-12703874 (LSY), 12711354 (LGY) (ALSO 20 VETTE)

    ESC-12711353 (L87), 24001956 (LM2)

21 VETTE, ALL IT SAYS IS ITS 12714132 (LT2)
    2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (733 whp)
    2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing (716 whp), 10.750 @ 134.77 mph
    2016 Cadillac ATS-Vs (eleven ATS-Vs in the 9s)
    2008 Pontiac G8 (first G8 in the 10s), 10.727 @ 129.87 mph

All LSY and L3Bs use the E01. The LT2 and LGY are E99. I expect the LF4 and LT4 in the CT4/CT5 BW will be E99 also. L87 is E90, LM2 is E66

Thank you for the very helpful information. But where I can look this sort of thing up for myself in the future?

I don't think this information is published officially anywhere. Sometimes GM service bulletins will mention the ECU designation in passing, particularly when they're reporting that a specific ECU has gone on, or off TAC restriction (restricted ordering).

Or you could do what I did and get your hands on the ECU and read the label.

Thought Id bump this thread instead of starting a new one. Any idea about the 2.7L motor ECU getting support here?

There is an E01 info sign up here https://www.hptuners.com/gmglobalb/
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
