Sure, I'll contribute. Looks like you still can't upload stuff to the actual repository...

This is a good idea, I would like to suggest that when posting your files to use the corresponding engine/transmission code if possible, since VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda share engines and trans but in different combinations sometimes model and year is not 100% accurate, here is a list of the ones I know and how with a small description to identify them:
Engine
EA113 K03, first generation Direct Injected 2.0T engine derived from the previous 1.8T 20V engines, uses a belt to drive the timing gear.
EA113 K04, same as the later but with a bigger turbo, low compression and different calibrations.
EA888 gen 1, chain driven valvetrain higher compression with K03 turbo, VVT on the intake cams and balance shafts on the sides of the motor.
EA888 gen 2, same as later but Audi introduced VVL on the exhaust cam, some are maf and some are mafless.
EA888 gen 3, still similar engine block but different head design, VVT on both sides and VVL on the exhaust cam. Turbos no longer use a manifold, they bolt directly to the head and come in 2 sizes IS20 and IS38 all run mafless calibrations.
Transmision
DSG DQ250 6 speed with wet dual clutch
DSG DQ380 7 speed with wet dual clutch
DSG DQ500 7 speed with wet dual clutch
For example here is mine: Audi TT 2012 2.0T EA888 gen 2 k03 turbo, DSG DQ250
Are all of those gens running different ECUs too?
I actually started a Dropbox to serve as a tune repository and am happy to manage it/keep it updated.
Right now I have everything broken out by ECU.... for example a MED7.5 folder, SIMOS18.1/18.6 folder SIMOS18.10 etc.
Basically to match how HPT IDs the files. I also think including the OS would be useful. For example mine would be: SIMOS 18.1/18.6 -> 2017 Audi S3 (8V0906259K__0003) or whatever.
Yes of course.
