    28 credits
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

is 28 credits essentially $1400 and that covers any GenIII V8 vehicle?

Okay, so if starting from 0 credits purchased, and I wanted to do all Gen III CAR and TRUCK..... I could purchase 28 for trucks, and 28 for cars and be done with it?

I have quite a few credits purchased across Gen 3/4/5, so I'm sure I have upgrade credits available.... Will this show the cost of upgrade when I hook to a vehicle?

If you are starting from 0 credits & 0 licenses its 30 credits for gen 3 car v8 & 30 credits for gen 3 truck v8.

The software will automatically calculate and tell you how many credits you need to upgrade if you have any upgrade credits available.

Under License Information > License Upgrade Paths, mine only breaks down the upgrade per year model.

I have noticed however, that when I connect to a vehicle, it will have license options for single vehicle/year model/Gen 3 v8 truck (usually the second 2 are greyed out because I purchase credits as I go, and I'm assuming that since my mpvi2 has not had enough credits the times I have looked at the year model/Gen options that's why it is greyed out)

Bill, mine does not show a Gen3 unlimited at the bottom like pictured above. Also, when hooked to a Gen3 PCM, mine states 2 credits for that pcm/6 credits for that year/30 credits for Gen3 V8 Truck. It is not deducting from my already purchased credits. This is after an MPVI2 resync, and I have internet connection. I'm currently on a bench at home with a 411 PCM from a 2000 V8 Truck looking at it

That just means you don't have any upgrade credits for it.
