    Trans Diag fault type ?

Working with my 2016 Scat A8 trans.

There are choices of fault types for the trans.

    Type choices are:

    Disabled
    Type 1
    Type 2
    Type 3
    Type 4
    Type 5
    Type 7

    What does each type represent?
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

Can?t say with 100% certainty but I think they have to do with whether the code would be considered permanent or not and other various conditions for setting the code and not all codes may have all 8 types available. Each type likely setting a certain sequence of bits in a bitmask for the monitor of the dtc in question.

I?ll post an example from a monitors options available on the 2012 cummins engine later, may be something similar to what I?ll post.

    Thank you Jim!

Here?s an example for the Intake H-Bridge Position In Range bitmask

    0x1-High Enable
    0x2-Low Enable
    0x4-Stuck Enable
    0x8-Monitor Enable

Could be possible that the DTC?s have something similar to this going on for the so called fault types.

Thanks. That's about what I figured. Without knowing the actual details, it would be hard to make any choice besides disabled.

I have an OSS to wheel speed mismatch due to a gear change.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.

The gear change probably pushed things outside the boundaries of the expected NV ratio

I'm sure it did. Unlike a NAG1 there is no place I have found to change gear ratio in the tune on the 8spds.

Likely just not mapped by HP Tuners. Would have to be in there somewhere for the NV ratio calculations and out-of-gear detection algorithms.
