    2015 Yukon 6.2L coolant temps?

I?m trying to write a custom fan tune for a 3.6 v6 so bare with me.

I checked out the factory tune for my 2015 Yukon Denali 6.2l and I get that it has a thermostat that cracks opens at 194 and is fully open by 207
And that the 3.6 is 194 and 212

Targets are a little different too. But that?s not my query.

When driving down the atreet in the Yukon the ect hang at around 186 and get as high as 196 but never crack 200

I?d say they are almost always around 190... this is is 90 degree weather and driving no faster than 45 mph

Would the fan being on to support the ac system keep the ect below thermostat opening temp like that?

I'd say your thermostat is partly sticking open if it can't get the coolant temp any higher in that type of weather.

I had mine stick open on my 2016 5.3 engine and it would struggle to get over 180-190. Installed a new thermostat and it runs around 210 all the time now.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

It’s 5 and a half years old with 27k so that would make sense

This is my experience too. I have a 2016 Silverado L86 and I've literally seen over 200* once and that was after idling in 105* weather with the AC blasting for 20 minutes. Most of the time it's sub 190*. Highway driving to Waco this past weekend it was around 180* and would go low 17x after a long coast when exiting.

I seem to remember someone saying that certain years got a thermostat that FULLY open by 194* and others that it just STARTED opening at 194*.
