    high injector duty cycle E40

hey guys a few weeks ago i went to the track with my 05 gto. Speed density, fuel injector clinic 72lb injectors,340lph in tank factory fuel system double stoich method. supercharged torqstorm 8psi, brian tooley jam cam, stock longblock, longtubes full exhaust no cats. I logged one run and noticed injector duty cycle was above 90% above 6500 rpm, my WOT afr was good at 11.3 or so. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge. The car went a best that day of 11.1 @126. I will post my tune and log. i figured 72lb injectors would be enough. please look and give advise.

I know i need a fuel pressure gauge, maybe the pump is weak?

The car has never been on a dyno. By my estimate it makes roughly 540 at the tire. I shouldn't be running out of injector.

I'm no tune expert...but I do have a '05 goat with a stroker and nitrous. I also have 80pound injectors and a 340 pump. In the log, only thing I noticed was the high injector pulse width of 17.1ms. Not sure if that's too long of a pulse. I dynoed all motor at 492whp and was only at a low 10ms pulse width. I managed a measly 733whp/871wtq out of the 340 pump on a 200 shot. Unless your making alot more than 540whp, I'd think you have enough pump. Btw...my 340 pump holds 65psi pressure at the rail.

Your cylinder airmass doesn't look correct. You should have the AEM set to lambda instead of afr since you did the double stoich. Maybe you missed something in the injector data from FIC ? Your speed went from 80 mph to 140 mph in about a second.

i will look at the data again. I mean in the log you can see where it does hit 10.99 afr so i feel i am not out of injector. lakegoat how do i log the lambda? i have tried but cant figure how to show lambda in the log. i can change it on the sensor but still reads afr in the logs

Right click on your AEM in channels---click on transform---it will give you a choice between afr or Lambda. Choose lambda. Then click on save. It will read lambda in channels. If you want it in graphs, right click on the graph and add it wherever you want.

When you click on Transform, look at the second selection that says equivalency ratio--click on that and select your sensor.

If i have my boost VE too high after peak tq it will keep the pulse width high correct?

If your ve table is too high, it will show too rich on your wideband. And if it is too rich, it keeps the injector open longsr.

Got it, i will retune in the spring. This winter its getting prc 225 heads, a performabuilt lvl 3 a triple disc circle d converter. I am putting a fuel cell in and a return system with a eliminator brushless pump and a 8pt moly bar with kirkey seats. Then in late summer probably a custom VS billet 80mm turbo setup with fender exit exhaust
