ambient temp. sensor stuck at 32 degrees (freezing) after tune

On a 2016 Silverado, after reading codes, reading tune, modifying and flashing I now get a warning about ice and 32 degrees readout on IPC

Is this normal and how to reset?

Yea mine does that every time, but it doesn't seem to affect anything.. IAT and all other temps still read fine in the scanner.
That is a good link you found, makes more sense why it can take so long to update when I am driving around town.

Give it about 15 min of driving and goes back to normal

This happens every time I write a tune on my 2018 Camaro SS, drives me nuts!

My ambient and IAC temps both change to nearly double for 15mins or so.

Yup, all is well and it sucks that it does that. Wish there was a way to instantly reset OAT via a scan tool. But every model has it's glitches.

I remember when the 5th Gen Camaro V6 came out, we used to have to leave the ignition on and go to lunch after BCM programming or it would NOT clear false codes.

And of course the phantom codes and overheat DPF warnings on LMM...

    fun fun
