New to HPt and LS. I have the older OS: 12209203. from a 02 avalanche 5.3. I have a 2wd 4l80e trans that I cant find a segment swap for. Should I just buy a new ecu if so what year do you recommend?

If you had the means to do so you could use a GM tool and just flash the computer with the newer 2002 OS and then segment swap it afterwards.
If this is like a swap type thing you could find another 2001 or 2002 computer from a Silverado/Sierra as those should have an OS that had a segment swap available.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Yes, this a swap into a amc eagle. Thank you. I?ll probably source one from a Sierra.
If you are still working on this look into express vans 1500,2500 they had 4l80e in almost all of them
