How to start theft recovered 2017 Savana with damaged column

I bought a theft-recovery 2017 Savana 4.8 box van to use as an engine donor. I?d like to start the engine to verify it?s condition before I remove it. The ignition switch turns without a key and the theft module under it has been damaged. Can I disable VATS or anything to make it start while it?s still in the vehicle?

If VATS is turned off it should start with so long as the ignition can still be put into the on/start position.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Is there anything unique about a 2017 4.8, or can I just plug into the port under the dash to delete VATS?

Nothing special that I know of. A VATS removal does require a write entire on those computers.
