    2012 Ford Raptor, 2.9 Whipple, start-up surging

    As stated, 2012 Ford Raptor, 2.9 Whipple, Ford Racing TB, on initial start up engine revs to 1600+ rpms and surges for the first 5-10 seconds and then settles to 750 as set. I noticed MAP reading going from 0-14 inhg. Is the blow off valve causing this? Has anyone come up with a remedy? Any insight would be appreciated.

    Is this the stage 1 kit and are you running the Whipple tune?

    Not the whipple tune. It was terrible, had to start from scratch. Drives great, MAF is dialed in perfect. It?s just start up. 3.250? top pulley. Not sure on what stage kit it is, replaced the whipple TB to a Ford Racing one. It?s not as bad as the their TB. Tuned the TB according to The Tuning Schools book and as stated it?s just surging on start up.
