Weird thing going on here. It only does it when the temp is below freezing out. It was fine all summer but its my winter beater so its getting cold out. I have tried to catch it and finally today I did. Any suggestions? A really good one is at 2:51 into the log. It basically does it while cruising. The airmass shoots up, pegs rich, rpms drop. very weird. any help appreciated. Its a cam, converter G8.
I had a similar issue with my G8 when I had a VCM OTR intake on it, and would only do it when there was snow, even just a little. I suspect it was ingesting snow through the OTR and was hitting the heated element on the MAF sensor, causing it to stutter and sometimes buck. Only when snow was flying, so I put a black plastic cover behind my grill to fix it. Didn't have an issue since. Couldn't say if that's your issue or not though.
