    How can I know the exact model of gearbox?

    As the title says... I have a 09 chevy silverado 4x4 5.3 but I don't know what gearbox has my truck fitted. Is the stock one, should be a 4l60e?

    A 2009 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L engine would have been originally mated to a 17-pin 4L65E transmission.

    The 17-pin version of the 4L65 features an ISS and an internal Gear Position Switch system.

    If the truck was an LTZ it would have the option for a 6 speed auto as well.
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
