For the past 3 days ive been trying to get the new update for hp on my laptop with windows 8 and it wont take. I got an error the first time saying the new update requires 4.7.2 minimal to run. Of i search and find the update and have downloaded it several times and i keep getting the original error message saying it needs 4.7.2 minimal to run but ive installed it multiple times. Im lost on this, ive even downloaded the most recent net framework 5.0 and still nothing.

If you are unable to get things to play nice you might consider reloading windows 8 fresh & turn on automatic updates so that it automatically updates to the newest net framework build and then try again.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
