    gen4 E40 5.3l getting false knock?

vehicle is 06 buick rainier, sbe 5.3, tick performance towmax stg2 cam, tbss intake manifold, full dual exhaust, pump 93

i built the exhaust myself and i know i have some areas that are especially tight and may contact the frame, so some false knock is expected, however, logging today, i see that i got 6* at mild throttle randomly, yet get 0* at 80% throttle. including current tune and latest log file.

should i be looking at spark tables or something else? seems to happen at random at low throttle. it happens early in the scan.

also, havent touched my ve tables because when i fail the maf to go sd, the trans shifts terribly and im not trying to blow up my transmission. t42, 4l60

    thanks in advance guys.

Are you using a wideband? Tune the maf, first. It's easier. Be easy because the knock may be real. When you log see where the knock is and look at at the afr if its lean add some fuel.

The maf is tuned, I just haven't done the ve table yet because the ruck shifts like shit when I disable the maf

Allegedly, the TCS Patch causes it to not trip the 'invalid torque' signal which is the thing that's maxing out the line pressure when the MAF goes missing.

You can also look at Trans Diagnostics > General > Invalid Torque Signal: Max Pressure [enabled/disabled]

or just apply the patch and see what happens. It won't affect anything after it's back in blended mode.
