What is the RIGHT way to clear codes on thse things and do throttle relearn 2014-2020

because it seems like 10% success right if that in getting things to clear/reset. Theres multiple "clear DTC" buttons. Does it work properly on stable release and not the beta version I always seem to be on?

I've had hit or miss on clearing codes with either beta or stable release. Oddly sometimes rebooting the laptop solves it. Odd.

You can't clear permanent codes with HP tuners. The PCM will clear them if it sees data it likes or some same you need to reflash the PCM with a dealer type tool. As for throttle relearn, I find on GPEC2A PCMs the relearn in VCMscanner in special functions works but on older controllers I use the relearn in AlfaOBD...seemed to work on my buddy's 300 SRT8. Generally I clear all adaptives when I do a throttle relearn.

That's not correct. HPT clears codes on my Hellcat just seems to be hit or miss how many times I have to hit clear codes to get it to work.

So you can clear permanent codes with HPT? You must have a special edition because anytime I had O2 related codes that were permanent on my 2015 RT I could not clear them.

    I know HPT can't clear P1400.

1400 is a special case as it's reported from the BCM.

Yes, I can clear permanent codes with HPT no problem, it sometimes just takes a few clicks of the button as it were. If the condition that caused the code persists then obviously it just comes back, however.

Well that goes against what others have experienced here including myself.

As for P1400 my RT does not show this code in the BCM or PCM so it could be hell cats OS is different? I would kill to be able to get rid of permanent codes.

That is a TCM code, implausible engine torque received which is not permanent and should clear but can pop back up if you drive.

Set all the torque management back to stock and try again.
If in doubt, multiply everything by 1.1.
