my ecm has a custom key box when i try to read it fails at 50 %. that is tuner locked correct? i also seen a guy on you tube ground out a pin for one second then read within 15 sec and it bypasses the lock. has anyone else done this?

If it starts reading at all(at least on GM applications) it is not tunerlocked and you have some other issue.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

x36 means tunerlocked, it attempted to use the known seed/key and it failed.
ie your ecm IS tunerlocked.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
