    2006 Ram 5.9 to 6.7 Swap

I am running a 2006 Ram 5.9 truck with just an engine swap to a 2010 Ram 6.7.
Everything in the truck is from the 5.9 besides the engine long block and the injectors, rail and fuel pump. Truck will run on stock 5.9 tune but will not rev nicely.
I have tried to convert all the parameters from the stock 6.7 ecu and it runs a lot smoother and can used it as a daily but just feel that I dont have any torque. Also Im getting code p0237 and P0341

Any help would be great in trying to get this to run as a stock truck no looking for powers just to run smooth.

    So a 6.7 in a 2006 with 2006 ECM or 5.9 in a 2010 with a 2010 ECM?

Ah, gotcha. What model year did you use the 6:7 values of?

Should run relatively ok-ish with 2007 values, for the most part. From your DTC codes I would replace the cam sensor and MAP sensor.

Okay, I will get a sensor tomorrow and try it. And with the tune, you think it should be good for a daily with out damaging anything?

Not really, there?s people out there that have put together hybrids of the 5.9 and 6.7 engines. There?s an outfit that builds 6.3L cummins engines out of the 5.9 and 6.7 components.

Not all coolant ports match up between the 6.7 block and 5.9 head

I replace the sensors and no luck. I forgot to post that I?m using fuel system and map sensor from the 6.7. Do I need to change anything on the tune?

Sensors may need to be rescaled

Jim P. This it?s my first time doing thing. Anyway you can guide me of what I need to do to rescaled the sensors?
    Thanks

    Sensors.png

These should take care of the MAP sensor and rail pressure sensor. All other sensors require user defined parameters.

I did that on the MAP Sensor and rail pressure sensor. Now I?m just getting code P0341. Do I need to change the parameters from the cam sensor also?

Cam sensor is different and requires user defined parameters to make changes, there is no sensor scaling for it as it?s a hall effect sensor.

Will be best to start from stock parameters and replace everything from the 6.7?

Not going to get too far without getting that last code sorted out. Could be from a mismatch between the cam sensor and crank sensor, you already replaced the cam sensor, the crank sensor could possibly be bad. They are interconnected in the calibration and when one goes it screws things up. Personally I would rule out the crank sensor and sensor connections on the cam and crank sensors first.

Are the 5.9 and 6.7 crank sensors different? In my truck I've got a 6.7 bottom end, but swapped front cover and everything else and used all the 5.9 sensors. I've had to rescale map sensors for people running the 6.7 sensor in a 5.9 trucks before. I've also had trucks that would always throw a cam sensor code, I think in those cases there was excess end play in the cam. I just shut the code off and let her rip.
