Does a part number really matter? A light switch is just a light switch, all that matters is it?s wired right.

Possibly a built in filter in the abs sensor or the coil in the sensor isn?t as sensitive as the other sensor. The abs sensor creates a pulsewidth and the frequency is used to determine speed in the differential. The crank sensor is used differently from the abs sensor and I doubt there is any filter or latency built into the crank sensor since the crank sensor and cam sensor are both used for something that requires precise measurements of engine speed and engine position, for fuel control and much more. I do not know if anything needs to be changed in the calibration for those two sensors if using the 6.7 on a 5.9 ECM. From what I can see, both engines have the same tooth counts for crank and cam.

The OP needs to verify the wiring of the cam sensor and crank sensor, since there was no complaints with the tach or vehicle charging the crank sensor is probably good but doesn?t hurt to verify the crank sensor and crank sensor wiring. The P0341 has to do with cam sensor performance, but issues with the crank sensor can trip out the cam sensor as well. The ECM has default fall back values it uses in event of a failed sensor or bad readings from the sensors but the root cause should be found and fixed to restore proper function for measurements used for the fueling systems. The OP could try 5.9 sensors and see if it makes a difference but I definitely would verify wiring is good first.

I'm running a 6.7 in a 2006 with the 5.9 ECM and didn't have any issues with cam or crank triggers. My donor engine was an earlier 6.7 than the OP though.

I don?t think there should be any issues with using the 6.7 crank or cam sensors, the other engine sensors do need to rescaled though if using the 6.7 sensor on a 5.9 ecm.

Chris what parts you are using from the 6.7? I still cant get my truck to run correctly. Also are you running stock 5.9 tune or different one?
