    RIFE IAT sensor

Hi! I was thinking about updating the stock GM IAT sensor to a Lo-AT Rife Sensor. I have a LS3 with a 2650 blower running E85, twin -10 meth, and an interchiller. I'd like to get a faster temp response to help with future tuning. Has anyone added this sensor and what exactly was upgraded in the tune? Rife has a 32 cell calibration table available. Just curious if anyone has gone down this path...

    TIA

    Michael

I'm working on a gen 3 tune with the Rife Lo-AT sensor. Send an email to [email protected] and put voltage conversion worksheet in the subject line. Let them know you are working on gen4 stuff, not sure if gen 4 has the same pullup resistor as the Gen 3. They've been helpful to me so far. I haven't powered up up my sensor yet to see if the calculations are accurate.

My screen shot is for Gen 3 stuff, not gen 4.

Thanks for responding! I actually did get in touch with them, nice group to work with. They gave me a value set to work with for the first set of values. Its pretty interesting to see how fast my IAT temperature moves around while driving, stopping, idling, and then moving again.

Can you share the gen iv info? Planning to order this in the next day or two and need this.

here is the 33 cell Hptuner values that I used:

Thanks! I got it installed last night and it appears to be reading correctly key-on engine off.

I tried your table in the genIII 3-bar custom OS. It was limited to 284 degrees. Also, testing vs ambient, I had a difference. Thermometer in the garage reads 32, scan says 44. For giggles, I used my laser Thermometer on the intake and it read 44 deg. Torn if I should adjust this or let it ride. I mostly am using IAT to pull timing if my meth injection fails. Im closed loop SD non-complex otherwise. Using the rife to help avoid heat soak a bit.

Did this data set work for you with the Rife IAT sensor with a Gen III

where did you input this data?

This is on Gen4/E67. IAT 1 or 2, depending on which one you replaced. Tables should be similar on gen 3 I believe.

For any future people wondering, the graph for the Rife standard IAT that *Just Chuck* posted a picture of is accurate to 0.2 deg F in my testing for the temp Vs % that gen 3 uses. My particular testing was with a P411 pcm. I dont see the need for adjusting any further as 0.2 degrees would be a drop in the bucket IMHO.

Have a Gen 3 411 pcm and Rife sensor. Tried adjusting the cal for IAT but get message saying numbers exceed the max value. I also get a prompt asking if I want to override the max value. I click yes, but the numbers I'm trying to adjust go back to stock values. Anybody else have this issue?
